Puppies are one week old today Tuesday, April 20, 2010. They weigh 2 to 2 1/2 lbs. Hilda keeps a careful eye over them.

Wednesday afternoon puppies are loaded up for their first trip. Off to the vet’s office we go, mama keeps a close eye. Then its home again. Hilda got the ok as well, she weighed 90.5 lbs; last week she weigh 106 lbs! Wish us ladies could lose our baby weight that easy.

Hilda’s first pup was born at 5:30pm and by 9:00pm she had given birth to one red female, three black females, three black males. I’ll be up for awhile waiting just in case she has another pup. It’s hard to know for sure with her uterus enlarged, so I’ll stay up a few more hours [...]
