Blade, by Shannon

Our puppy’s name is Blade. He, too, is a terror. Private training lessons very soon. We went to the vet today to get our stitches out. Ears are looking great. 9 weeks old today and he weighs 18 lbs 4 oz. The vet said he is going to be huge. He can already sit, shake, and lay down on command. That took about 15 minutes to learn. We love him so much.

My veterinarian is Dr. Shelton @ Vogel Veterinary Hospital on Vogel Rd. in Arnold MO. The phone number is 636-287-9452. The surgery was 354.00, that included extra medicines and pre-anesthetic blood work also-those were optional. I love him, he is a wonderful dr. He likes to do the ears @ 8 weeks because he says there are less complications but also likes for the puppy to be with the new family for a couple of weeks first. The props are a thick felt insert. He did his ears on Monday the 16th and took stitches out the 23rd. The bottom stitches and the felt inserts will come out Friday. He also made sure to give him an extra parvo booster before the surgery, with dobes being more prone to it. I would recommend him to anyone.

Our puppy is going to do one on one training @ Kennelwood starting Friday. We are having a small issue with biting. When he doesn’t get his way he likes to bite, or if we tell him no he will chomp his teeth @ us. He is very stubborn and SO smart. He too likes to back talk, like they posted about one of the other pups. He is probably just a little spoiled.

One other thing, the trainer we will go to was very interested in our pup and where we got him. I gave her your website. Everyone talks about what a good looking dobe he is. I get an endless amount of comments.
